Birgir Hilmarsson, summer employee
Birgir Hilmarsson started working with Orkusalan in May 2023 as a summer employee in customer service.
"In the summer of 2023, I started working in the customer service center at Orkusalan. My main tasks in the customer service center are answering the phone enthusiastically and responding to emails. Every single day in the customer service center is really diverse and enjoyable," says Birgir, who quickly got the hang of the electricity business and assists Orkusalan's customers with a smile.
What makes Orkusalan a great workplace?
For Birgir, the morale at the workplace matters a lot.
"Definitely the staff. Here at Orkusalan, there is a really good morale, which is extremely important for good collaboration. Working in the energy sector is also a fantastic experience for me as I learn a lot of new things that are very useful in my studies. Additionally, we get awesome food," says Birgir.
What is enthusiasm for you?
"For me, enthusiasm means being cheerful and lively, which is simply achieved by playing, doing sports, listening to music, and traveling, especially with good friends," says Birgir in conclusion.
