Heiða Halldórsdóttir, Marketing Director and Head of Individual Division
Heiða started working at Orkusalan in January 2019 as a marketing director and has therefore been with the company for four years.
„My main tasks are related to the development of Orkusalan's brand with the aim of creating value for the company's customers. Marketing matters touch all departments of the company and it is therefore important that marketing matters are considered in a holistic manner,“ says Heiða. „My main challenge in the job is to build awareness and image of the brand as these two factors affect Orkusalan's brand value. We therefore conduct regular market research to assess the success of marketing efforts and based on those results determine the next steps.“
Heiða is also the head of the individual division, where her main challenge is to ensure Orkusalan's service quality and maintain customer loyalty. „Service quality is crucial when it comes to maintaining customer loyalty, and it is important to listen to the company's customers and analyze their needs,“ says Heiða, but in her field, regular service surveys are conducted to analyze the needs of Orkusalan's customers.
Heiða has also participated in the development of Orkusalan's charging station project, where she has taken on the role of project manager and led that project. „Heimastuð is a fun project that is closely worked on with other departments of the company. It has been great to be able to work with Orkusalan's charging team, where we have had to both work and learn quickly!" says Heiða.

„What makes Orkusalan a great workplace is primarily the staff. It is not a given how good the working atmosphere is with us, but it resonates with the results of Orkusalan's human resources measurements, where we see that job satisfaction is very high among the company. Orkusalan is a family-friendly workplace, the staff is well taken care of and there is a strong team spirit within the group, which I think is very important,“ says Heiða.
She adds: „I am also incredibly grateful for my team, as we are four who work in this field, and there is a strong team spirit and respect within the team. I find it very important that everyone gets to express their opinion, and active listening is the key to good collaboration.“
What is fun for you?
„Fun for me is an electrifying feeling that causes excitement, tingling, and joy. Fun encapsulates the atmosphere we work in, and Orkusalan's staff are experts in keeping up the fun!" says Heiða.
