Vigdís Hauksdóttir, Sales Manager
Vigdís Hauksdóttir is the Sales Manager at Orkusalan, having started with the company in January 2024.
"My main tasks involve overseeing the sales team by organizing sales and managing customer relationships and shaping the company's future vision when it comes to sales to customers," says Vigdís.
No day at work is the same for Vigdís, but they all share the common trait of being both challenging and enjoyable.
"I closely monitor sales plans and the goals we set as a team to ensure we remain competitive in the market. There are always processes that can be improved, and I find it very enjoyable to create better processes and utilize the data we have to analyze our market. By improving processes, we gain better oversight. I keep track of how the electricity market evolves and explore whether new business opportunities are available for Orkusalan." says Vigdís.
What makes Orkusalan a good workplace?
"I would say that the SUPPORT is what makes Orkusalan a great place to work, there's always laughter and general joy here. The people are such a bonus in life and make the workplace glitter, everyone is up for laughter, pep, fitness, and helping out whenever needed. The team spirit is therefore incredibly strong," says Vigdís.
"There is a strong emphasis here on everyone feeling good and each individual having the opportunity to grow, expand, and flourish in their work. The workplace is very family-friendly, and it matters to me to have flexible working hours," says Vigdís.
What is fun for you?
Vigdís is known for being a lot of fun and is famous for doing the worm on the dance floor. ""The fun is everywhere if you want it. Good food, wine, and smiles are such a joy. But for me, the fun starts with laughter and joy and evolves into glitter and fireworks, then we move into the worm and a split jump," says Vigdís.
